Hill-Rom's Exclusive

Retractability Feature

Retractability is an exclusive feature found only In Hill-Rom electric hospital beds.  The benefits of retractability are two fold.

First and foremost is improved patient comfort and safety.  As the head section is elevated in a retractable bed, the resident remains the same relative distance from the head board and wall.  This allows the patient to remain within easy reach of items on their bedside cabinet and eliminates the dangers of leaning out over the side of the bed.  Additionally, the resident receives full benefit of overhead wall lighting.

A second benefit of retractability is the valuable floor space gained at the foot end of the bed when retracted.  As much as 16" of additional clearance is realized for simplified movement of gurneys, wheel chairs, walkers, and other portable equipment around the patient's room.
